Child Safety Guidelines
- Parents must fill out the liability release before leaving their child in either program.
- Parents must not leave the location of the conference while their children are in the program.
- Parents may sign their children out at any time and the parent must sign the students back in if the student returns.
- Parents must notify the Program Director if their child has a food allergy. If a snack is provided, a gluten free option will be available.
- Special needs children are welcome if they can follow the directions of the parent volunteers and do not need any medical care.
- All students must be fully potty trained and parent volunteers cannot change any child.
- Local volunteers will provide 1-hour presentations for the students in both the Children’s and Youth Program. These include a local artist, a local librarian, and a local park ranger. The parent volunteers will stay with the students during the presentations.
- If a child must go to the bathroom, a parent volunteer will take at least 2 students to the bathroom so that a student is never alone with a parent volunteer.
- If a child needs any type of medical attention (starts to feel sick etc.), then the parent will be called and must come pick up their child.
- Parents must pick up their children at noon and can return them to the program at 1pm. Lunch is included for all children in the Children’s and Youth Program. It will be served in the fellowship hall.
- Parents must pick up students promptly at 3:30.
