Dear Homeschool Family,

As we step into the new year, it’s a wonderful time to renew our commitment to pray for and encourage those God has placed in leadership over us.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” – James 1:5

This month, one simple yet powerful way to build your relationship with your legislators is by connecting with them on social media. Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn offer informal ways to encourage, engage, and remind them that you are praying for their wisdom and guidance in the year ahead.

What You Can Do in January:

  • Follow your legislators on social media:
Find their official pages or profiles on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Send a brief New Year’s message:
A simple comment or direct message wishing them a Happy New Year and letting them know you’re praying for their service can brighten their day.
  • Engage respectfully and positively:
Like, share, or comment thoughtfully on posts that resonate with your values.

Social media is a great way to maintain consistent, light-touch engagement. As ambassadors of Christ, our encouragement can stand out and sow seeds of goodwill and understanding.

“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” – Colossians 4:6

Let’s start the year well by lifting up those who serve, trusting God to work through every connection.

Soli Deo Gloria,
