Program Elements
Symposium – Topics include: Legislative Training, Education in LA & Advocacy Training
Capitol Tour – Discover the history of our beautiful capitol, visit the Observation Deck & grab a souvenir at the “Shop at the Top”
Meet Legislators – Get to know your legislators. Homeschool Families make up 5% of the school age population in LA – your legislators need to know you and hear your opinion on prospective bills that affect our families.
Old State Capitol Tour – Visit our historic old capitol, built with prominent gothic architecture – learn the history of our state and our notorious former governor, Huey P. Long and be sure to check out the newest exhibit “Thrift Style”. The museum is open until 4pm and offers free self-guided tours. Catered Lunch Included
