Dear Homeschool Family,
As the Louisiana legislative session approaches, let us remember to carry our leaders in prayer, asking God for wisdom, guidance, and strength.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” – James 1:5
A simple way to encourage your legislators is by sending a heartfelt note letting them know your family is praying for them during the busy session ahead. Prayer changes things—and your words will remind them they are not alone in this important work.
What You Can Do in February:
- Write a brief prayer note:
Thank your legislators for their service and let them know you are praying for God’s wisdom and protection over their decisions. - Include a favorite Scripture:
Verses like Proverbs 3:5-6 or Isaiah 40:31 can offer encouragement and hope. - Make it personal:
Share how homeschooling and faith guide your family’s values and why their leadership matters.
This simple act of faith is a powerful witness and a way to stand alongside those who make decisions affecting our homes and communities.
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Thank you for being a light in our state, and for standing in the gap through prayer.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Jessie Leger
