As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, let’s remember that this season gives us a special opportunity to be salt and light—not just in our homes, but in our broader communities.
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given… and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6
This December, we encourage you to share the joy and hope of the season by sending a Christmas card to your legislators. It’s a simple act of kindness that allows you to plant seeds of truth, grace, and encouragement in a season when hearts may be especially open.
What You Can Do in December:
- Mail your family Christmas card:
Include a short personal note thanking your legislator for their service. Let them know you’re praying for them as they prepare for the upcoming session. - Include a favorite Scripture verse:
Choose a meaningful verse that reflects the hope and peace of Christ. (Isaiah 9:6, Luke 2:11, or John 1:5 are great options.) - Sign as a family:
Have each family member sign the card, including your children. It makes it more personal and impactful.
Most legislators rarely receive encouraging, personal mail—especially from families. Your card could be a bright light in a busy or challenging season. And who knows how God may use it?
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5
Let’s be intentional this Christmas. As we celebrate the greatest gift the world has ever known, may we also give the gift of encouragement to those who serve our state.
Soli Deo Gloria,
